USSD is known as a short message service, which is sent directly from a sender’s mobile device to a service provider company. Recently developed USSD payment platform by Podamibe Nepal, which has a great facility for mobile transactions. It integrates with Ncell and allows customers/users to purchase the Merolagani Data Analytics Services by sending code. Currently, we have implemented this system in merolagani.com
How does the USSD Application work?
- A mobile user initiates the service by sending the code defined by the service provider and sends it to the service provider. For example, *17174*s12# where the s12 is USSD string/code of Merolagani Data Analytics Service. Note: Contact Podamibe Nepal for more details regarding its string formats.
- The application receives the service request from the user and verifies the mobile user’s current account balance.
- If the mobile user’s current balance is enough, then the application responds and allows access to requested services.
- If the mobile user’s current balance is not sufficient, then the application asks to top up her/his account and ends the session.
